Ballast replacement, Hengselva bridge

Railvac carried out ballast replacement on the Hengselva bridge for Bane NOR.

Start: 6 January 2025
End: 20 June 2025

Using a Railvac and MVS ballast wagons with conveyor belts, Baneservice replaced the ballast and lowered 270 metres of track. Around 800 tonnes of material was replaced. In addition, Baneservice replaced sleepers and installed guard rails at both ends. The track tamping department carried out tamping after the ballast replacement.
